Jhon Roger Cotrina Alfaro is a systems engineer, preservation planner, and expert in sustainable community development with a distinguished academic and professional background. He holds two master's degrees: one in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University (2024) and another in Sustainable Communities from SUNY-Binghamton (2021), where he graduated summa cum laude as a Fulbright Scholar. He has been awarded prestigious scholarships, including those from the Historic Preservation Alumni Association and the National Trust for Historic Preservation Diversity. Professionally, Jhon is one of the founders and CEO of MISKI PACHA, a nonprofit organization that promotes cultural and sustainable community development in the Andes of Peru, focusing on the most vulnerable populations. His career spans roles in cultural management, grant writing, public service, and teaching. A multilingual researcher, he actively advocates for education, heritage preservation, and tourism in Peru with nationally recognized projects.
